BUSINESS LIVE: Chinese economy grows 4.9%

The FTSE 100 ended the day nearly 35 points lower at 5,884, as the pound soared against the dollar to touch $1.30 again. The FTSE 250, on the other hand, managed to close up 43 points at 17,866.

China’s economy has grown 4.9 percent in the third quarter from last year proving the country is back to its pre-pandemic trajectory with consumer spending and industrial production going back to normal levels.

Guarantor lender Amigo Loans will not be allowed to transfer any assets outside the company without the permission of the Financial Conduct Authority. It will also need prior approval before paying shareholder dividends or executive bonuses.
